Brain and Body lessons focus on music literacy through creativity. Learn the value of self expression while utilizing music theory concepts: melodic and harmonic ear training, sight-singing, healthy instrument technique, transposing and transcription.
Private lessons are offered for piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, mandolin, and composition.
All instrument lessons are for ages 7 & up; assessment required.
Lessons are 45 minutes long. In-person and online lessons are available from 11am-8pm Tuesday through Sunday.
Cancelled lessons will only be re-scheduled if 48-hour notice is given. Make up lessons are scheduled within the next month.
B&B is staffed with graduated homeschoolers and values the non-traditional education! Please submit us as a vendor to your charter program.
As a non profit; we focus on quality music education and how creative expression can help all students over well-being and health. We incorporate music literacy, creative expression, pitch and rhythm dictation, ear training, improvisation to support social-emotional learning; as well as the freedom to switch instruments at any time. In addition, all our performance opportunities are always donation based.
We currently work with the following charter programs:
Excel Academy, Cabrillo Point Academy, Suncoast Preparatory Academy, and Mission Vista Academy.
If you attend another program in the area and would like to use your funds, you will first need to contact your program, request for Brain and Body Music Studio to be a vendor, and have them contact us through email at bandbmusicschool@gmail.com.
For additional information or specific questions please email bandbmusicschool@gmail.com.
Our tuition is based on the individual/family income. Below you will find a chart with the pricing for music lessons.
If there are any questions, concerns, or if you need assistance, please email us bandbmusicschool@gmail.com
We believe high quality lessons should be accessible for all people. We never want to sacrifice quality and always want to be available to all students regardless of economic status. Local music programs offer a 45 private minute lesson for $150-$300 each lesson; roughly $600- $1,200 a month.
If you are capable, we are accepting sponsors to open a scholarship program for students who are not able to afford lessons on their own, but would benefit from consistent music mentorship. You can support two students for ½ the price of the market rate; plus it’s all a tax benefit!
Income of $65,000 > $55.00 / Lesson $220 / Month
Income of $80,000> $65.00 / Lesson $260 / Month
Income of $100,000+ $80.00 / Lesson $320 / Month
If you are unable to attend your lesson for any reason, please notify us as soon as possible. We need to be notified by email, text, or call before 10am the day of your lesson for it to be considered a make-up. No-shows will be charged the full lesson rate.
Make-ups are offered as an additional lesson to your typical schedule. To maintain consistency, we unfortunately cannot offer make-ups as credit for upcoming lessons. No more than 4 make-up lessons will be offered in a year.
Two no-show lessons in a month may result in losing your weekly lesson spot.
